Sacred
Crude
Tender
Earth
Cold hearts pumping
Thick black blood
Sever the veins
Let it leak into the body
Sacred
Body
Patient
Ghosts
Their Nation was here
Before our nation's birth
Those who remain
Will still be standing
Let loose the dogs
We'll keep the things we took
And we'll shoot you in the face
If we don't like the way you look
Sacred
Ground
Heavy
Bones
Safe in the cradle
Of their mother’s womb
Never suspected it would
Be cut open
Sacred
Water
Mother
Giver
Speak, scream, and fight for her
but they won't listen
Forcing it inside
without her permission
Let loose the dogs
We'll keep the things we took
And we'll shoot you in the face
If we don't like the way you look
Sacred ground
Brave spirits are riding on steeds with their descendants
Sioux pursuing suited parasitic stratigraphic rapists
Who pierce the soil and suck and suck, their hunger never sated
Fat ticks on a starving dog, as she’s slowly overtaken
Her tears purest lake water gift to her children
While corporations spin a lie into a future promise broken
Repeating the sins to which they've never admitted
From dark chapters of history, conveniently omitted
A modicum of empathy would help in deciding
Or should we go back to December 29th of 1890
How many million barrels of blood flowed through Dakota
Buried deeper than your hands in her pockets to hit your quota
Sacred ground
Those who remain will still be standing
On sacred ground

Cochambamba water capitol of Bolivia
Aguas de Tunari Italian mambo dynasty
come dance now in the floods of follia
in the waters of life is the evolution of me
crack open a hydrant there's a party in the streets
i don't want you rights like i don't want your police
my mother our earth is hurting silent tears she cries
the literal and figurative well’s not empty yet but it's looking dry
fuggedabout your rights
ignite your life
mni wiconi under my feet
sacred water of my Momma run thru bad mans streets
i let no privateers put an end to my fun
them too join in my evolution
would if they knew it be good for them — and me and you
100 monkeys gathered i can feel the tipping point comin on soon
look inside see that light within?
you don't need no ringleader to tell ya that you're free every single moment of your time
con ruido de león hoy to digo ya basta
hoy abro mis alas de condor y retomo mi libertas
hoy como nunca me despierto de la pesadilla
y abandono las cuerdas
esas cuerdas que me atan
chaymi chay runa
imarayku qollqeqa ñawpaqta kawsanchismanta?
manam munanichu
paqariypaq kawsayniyki, khunan ruwasqayki
(such is man
why place money before life?
this is not what I want
the cause of your future will be your present)
international styling unification is the key
hagamos hermandades
sin imponer imperio
love and respect for each and everyone
Kuyayky & Askultura coming rougher as one
united we stand to mother earth we belong
no more policeman no more machine gun
big brother attacking imposing his oppression
wants to drill our land to make a water corporation
raids, depression, upbringing deportation
embracing the underground is the only solution
nothing belongs to us in governments we do not trust
the water it finds rust our bodies they find the dust
we want nothing to do with this no anarcho-communists
no liberation-theory marxists nor happy capitalists
in the western hemisphere can we live without interfere
from european politricks and religions of the hypocrites?
turtle island time to rise up maka'takiya pachamamma,
nothing belongs to us it’s in the water that I trust
el pueblo unido jamas será vencido
un pueblo cosiente nunca mas será asiente
"it's in water that I trust"

The Truth - Beyoh Welloh
(Verse 1)
They're still breaking promises and they stealing from the people
All these networks not showing true face of all this evil
Man it's messed up but all we gotta do is pray
Keep our heads up first ones here & we will stay
Keep the pride nation wide this the day that we gon' rise
It's been time after time & they still don't get it right
All I see in this world is that people won't protect it
Government still trying to poison all the people & reservations
Police still being corrupted tell us who do you protect
Selling out because of oil and a nice lookin' check
But we'd rather have water for our sons & for our daughters
Fight for all our rights it's what the fathers would've wanted
Stayin rezz'd out while the drums keep thumpin
Know our where abouts we planted all over the country
Tell me what do you envision Natives always on a mission
Spreading peace & all the wisdom it's what all their people's missin'
(Chorus) 2X
I just speak the truth,
It might be nothing to you,
But all my natives know it's true,
So I'll just speak the truth yeah, I'll just speak the truth
(Verse 2)
Black out in the media they don't wanna see their crimes
Put some mercenaries on us & won't call it genocide
Big company's got the politics in pockets
Legal documents denying everything they're talkin
Landowners get evicted just for being on the route
Crossing reservations but won't cross a white town
Fight for mother earth man it's sad we even gotta fight
Against the us government, the one that invented genocide
Tribes all gather and they're only speaking peace
But police are protecting all the hearts full of greed
Protectors only speak and pray for a day of victory
Government respect the treaty? Go check our history
America was never great since columbus and the slaves
To this very day where they're building over graves
Time for a change and it's time for our chance
But one thing we learned was "don't trust your government"
(Chorus) 2X
I just speak the truth,
It might be nothing to you,
But all my natives know it's true,
So I'll just speak the truth yeah, I'll just speak the truth

water, water is life
water, water is life
water, water is life
water, water is life
(VERSE 1)
the veins of the river
run the same as the tears in our eyes
as the black snake slither's under
lands where our ancestors hide
and the white man comes
with his dogs and his guns and his lies
now there's blood on the soil
and you should have left the oil inside
now there's blood on the soil
and you should have left the oil inside
(CHORUS 2)
water, water is life
water, water is life
water, water is life
water, water is life
(VERSE 2)
thats why we’re out there on the frontline
holding up a peace sign
for what we all know is right
sleeping out in the cold
black and white young and old
we come from every walk of life
dancing to the sacred drums
singing our freedom songs
praying into the night
for the ones who've sold their soul
for a pocket full of gold
and it’s left them blind
for the ones who've sold their soul
for a pocket full of gold
and it’s left them blind
(CHORUS 3)
water, water is life
water, water is life
water, water is life
water, water is life
(BRIDGE)
can't drink oil leave it in the soil… (8X)
(ENDING)
that's why we’re out here on the front line
holding up a peace sign
for what we all know is right
sleeping out in the cold
black and white young and old
we come from every walk of life…

OF THE PEOPLE
lyrics © Mojdeh Stoakley
Every land has a language
That language has a taste
Building every sentence savory
Salt and lime
The cadence makes the flavor rich
Every country has a melody
that's made of faces.
Filling notes,
the passages are folk.
The folk make the stories
that begin with grass and end with war!
The folk make our history
Our history, our history is torn!
The best we can do,
make light of history,
take pride in our legacy,
celebrate each brushstroke
of culture!
A nation is no more than genre,
a country no more than cuisine,
all is music, all hearts hunger,
and all folk be hopeful of imminent unity!

Adam Gottlieb - Kylo
04:56
|
|||
lyrics:
Kylo says the time has come
white and red unite as one
i know some say the kingdom
he says 7th generation
Kylo says the time has come
when all races unite as one
i know some say it’s the kingdom
well he says the 7th generation
Kylo smiles when he talks about the prophecies,
Around the fire, at Standing Rock in October, he said
it’s about life now, we’re on God’s side, making offerings, (yea)
so, it’s about time now, that the tribes unite, that’s the final piece,
that’s the last barrier holdin us back
and their first weapon in their line of attack
and the strategy they always use is just that
tactic divide and conquer pitting white against black,
feedin people on steady diet of fear
and hatred enough to wage a genocide still here
and still the Sioux forgive,
they know uniting is the only way we’ll live
they call it the 8th fire, yea, the last one,
the human race, ah, we’re healing our past,
joinin the sacred council of the nations,
bringing back the garden in this 7 generation
(chorus)
(bridge)
Kylo says the Fire is lit
The Rainbow Tribe will carry it
Some say that’s New Age bullshit
but he says make no mistake of it
Fools Crow did pray for it
Black Elk spoke the same before him
Sitting Bull died for his kin
and now his kids are calling us in
Kylo says the time has come
when all races unite as one
i know some say it’s the kingdom
well he says the 7th generation

From Plymouth Rock to Standing Rock
Every day is a day of thanks, bend
and whisper to the orange fleshed squash,
Welcome, like the Wampanoag welcomed
us to Plymouth Rock and taught us
to harvest blueberries and beach plums,
hunt for wild turkeys and geese,
make nets out of woven reeds,
and plant corn, squash, and beans
together and call them sister.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving.
I have boiled down the cranberries
into gel, I have ground the corn
between two sacred stones.
I have lifted the fresh water
to my lips and chanted,
Water is not a weapon.
I have closed my bank account
and I have stood at the entrance
to the Backwater Bridge,
and I have shaken the small pox
from the borrowed wool blanket,
and I have built a monument
in a mason jar,
and I have said enough to the dirt
that is starting to die,
and the river told me yesterday
that treaties are not made to be broken
and that the mountain that is filled with gold
belongs to no one,
and that water is not made
to purposely freeze our fingers
to the bone, and that pipes
are made to be passed
in peace circles.
What will happen if we stand long enough?
The president has pardoned the turkey,
but not the Sioux.
Reparations are long overdue.
Standing Rock, I stand with you.
